Franklin Institute Trip

  I think this was one of the best trips ever! I'm glad that the girls had an awesome time I know I did. Here are some pictures of the day!!

Franklin Institute Trip

Please let me know if you will be attending our Franklin Institute Trip Thursday July 5th. I would like to meet at the Frankling Intitute no later than 11am. I need a yes or No answer so I can buy tickets in advance. The troop is paying for scouts only, If you are bringing a sibling please let me know and pay me in advance so I can get all tickets  together. We look forward to seeing you there. Please contact me via cell or email as soon as possible so I can notify The Franklin Institute.
Directions:

From Southern New Jersey (via the Walt Whitman Bridge)
Take the Schuylkill Expressway, (Route 76 West), and follow to exit for 676 Eastbound (#344). Immediately start moving over to the far right lane to take the 23rd Street Exit. Continue straight ahead to 21st Street. Make a right onto 21st Street and the parking garage is almost immediately on the left.
From Southern New Jersey (via the Ben Franklin Bridge)
Take the Atlantic City Expressway to route 42 Northbound. Follow route 42 North to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and cross into Philadelphia. Follow the signs for Route 676 Westbound (locally known as the "Vine Street Expressway"). Follow route 676 West across town. Exit at the "Ben Franklin Parkway/Museum Area" exit. At the top of the exit ramp, all traffic must turn right onto 22nd Street. One block later, turn right onto the Ben Franklin Parkway. Stay in the far right hand lanes. One block later, turn right onto 21st Street. One block later, 21st Street intersects with Winter Street. Just past the intersection, the entrance to the parking garage is on your left hand side.

6. Riders must be 56 inches tall. Flip-flops, open-backed shoes, and skirts are not allowed.

Registration for Jr.

Please make sure that you register your daughter online ASAP. I handed out the cards on May 23rd. If you are having difficulties I can do it online for you just write the check for $24 to our troop, I will deposit it and then register for you. I would like to have this done by July 14th. So our troop can get the Early Bird!!! Feel free to contact me. If for some reason your child is not returning next year please let me know. Have a great summer

Girl Scouts End of Year Party

Dues

I know things have been crazy for everyone the past few weeks, I've been going over the troop account and realized that there are a few girls who are behind on the dues. If possible see me at the bext meeting and I will let everyone know where they stand. Im going to sit down with Ms. Ana within the next few weeks to discuss next year and how we can do things differently. Im willing to hear any ideas from the parents. We will try to get the girls together a few times over the summer for some fun activites and to keep everyone as close as they are! Two meetings left and the summer fun will begin!!!

Early Bird Registration

Please make sure you register online asap.

At our meeting on May 23rd I will be handing out postcards with the information on how to register your daughter and yourself online. Be aware that the Girls Registration renewal had gone up to$24 and adult is still $12 . ( If there are any questions feel free to talk to me)
If you decide not to join us next year please let me know, I hope we can continue with our special group of girls, but if some decide to not return I need to add new girls to our troop.
If you are coming back I will deduct the registration fee off of the dues after our first 6 meetings.
I'm looking forward to our girls advancing to Juniors and will be working on some new ideas over the summer with Ms. Ana. I would love some parent ideas they are always welcome.
Please register early so we can get some of the early bird benefits...

Meeting Update

Sorry that we had to cancel our meeting on the 25th ! But we will meet on May 2 and 9th. I hope to see all the girls there!!!

Insectropolis trip

I have to say I'm not a bug person! But this was such a great trip for our troop. I hope all of you had a great time. Here are some pictures....don't forget we will be scrap booking next Sunday...I am having an issue with my desktop computer and cannot post pictures to our blog. I will email a group email with a few pictures and hopefully fix my computer issues. My iPad will not let me add pictures to the blog either.

Love Stems

If you are attending the Love Stems event pleae have your Registration to me by this meeting. $6 per girl. I have to hand it in on the 9th of March. l=

Insectopolis trip is March 10th. I will be ordering patched for the people that attend so please let me know ASAP.

Also March 12th ALL Girl Scouts need to wear their vest to school. I will be coming to McKinley to take a group picture of Girls in their vest (all troops not just our) for the 100 year celebration.
Im hoping that it will be a great turn out

International Day Celebration

The girls had fun going to each counties staion and learning about that country. They sampled some of the food and did some of the trivia. I will be adin some more pictures to the blog soon so you can copy them for our scapbooking event on March 18th.
