Girl Scout Toy Drive

In your envelopes this week was a flyer about participating in a toy drive at OACC on December 3rd. I scheduled us for 6 pm. please let me know if you are coming with a toy or gift card for a child. I hope we get a decent turn out. I will have my camera (of course) to take their pictures with Santa. PLEASE let me know if you are attending and be there 10 minutes early.

Reminer:Dues

I forgot to add a reminder to todays hand outs. We now have 5 new Brownies in our troop and I just want the parents to know that there is a $5 per month dues, This covers try-it patches and craft supplies. You can pay on a monthly basis or half now half later, I am more than happy to make it as easy for you as possible.
The girls are earning try-its faster than 1 a month and Im only purchasing them every other month or so. So even though they completed the try it they will get it after we earn a few (this way there are less trips to Toms River).
I hope the girls are having fun and learning in the process. If parents have any questions or suggestions Im more than happy to listen. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Peek a boo Emma

The girls had an awesome time at TGIF. They had a tour of the kitchen ate lunch had sundaes and loves Ms. Tina and Joe the waiter. Im going to write a small article and add a picture so it can be added to the Wave.

Picture Day

On November 17th I will be bringing my GOOD camera and tripod and a green screen. I will be taking individual shots an a group photo. So please make sure your brownie has her vest/sash. I will try and fix hair if needed. I know they just got their school pictures done but I thought this would be a cute idea and we can do it every year. I will have 3 packages to choose from and they are inexpensive.

Try-it Awards

The girls received their Try-its that they earned since September...Manners,computer smarts, point click and go, Girl Scouts Around the World, Art to Wear. And our 3 top Nuts sellers received their trophies. Great job everyone.

Scrapbooking Event

Im planning a scrapbooking Day at my home, The girls loved it last year so why not do it again. Please save pictures from the blog and print them out, I will not be printing pictures anymore so please choose the ones you want and bring them with you. I will not be supplying scrapbooks this year, you can use the ones from last year or purchase a new one. I will provide the paper and stickers and adhesive for the pictures. It will most likely take place on a Sunday for about 2 hours. I will let you know a definite date soon.

TGIF Reminder

Dont forget our next trip is Sunday November 14th at TGIF for a tour and Lunch(?) I will get back to you on the lunch part. Please let me know if you are coming and Please wear your Brownie Vest/sash. This will go towards a try-it (making and eating  food) This is a free event.

Operation Open Arms

I will be handing out flyers about Operation Open Arms. we will be collecting items on the list for our soldiers that are in Iraq. I will be taking it to Toms River for it to be shiped out and hopefully they will get it for the Holidays. Im going to have the girls make a card for the soldiers too!!

Express yourself with Paint

Our troop had fun designing and making plates . Its amazing how creative our girls are! They will be getting them next week after they are glazed and fired!! Here are a few pictures. Im going to look in our Girl Scout Book and see if this can be included in one of our patches!!!
